Welcome to Sarah’s Grace!

My sweet Mother, Sarah, brought so much LIGHT into this world. She also lived her life with so much grace. She was witty with a beautiful soul. My best friend, an educator, fashionista, lover of life and the people in it. She taught me everything that I know, but she never prepared me for the heartbreak that is living life without her here on earth.

I’m still trying to figure out this “life” thing. God’s ways are higher than mine and His understanding is unsearchable—and there is solace in knowing that. I’ll be honest…it hurts. It hurts like hell, which is why I needed to find a way to make it through this healing process. It is my hope that I can help others traveling down this unforeseen road and quiet the heaviness that grief and heartbreak can often bring.

THERE IS HEALING IN GRIEVING.

Adjusting to a “new normal” as I explore the messy places is a reminder that I need grace…and lots of it. It may be a challenge, but there’s always hope. We don’t have to “do life” alone. Through my experiences, I hope to encourage others traveling down this unforeseen road through HOPE, healing, transparency, and faith in God.

Cry if you must. Grieve. Let it ALL out. The good, the bad, and the ugly. And always remember that there is life after loss here on earth. Even I have to remind myself DAILY that our eternal gain is in Heaven. Let’s live for today and take life as it comes—one day at a time.

Hold on to this truth,

Nothing God allows you to go through is pointless. Even in the midst of hurt, He will work things for your good and His glory. —Lysa TerKeurst

I could not carry on my sweet Mama’s legacy without sharing the blessing that was (and still is) her life. My Mom was such a woman of grace and many talents, which means I have to keep her memory alive! Besides, she wouldn’t have it ANY other way. You may see a little bit of EVERYTHING because that was my beautiful Mama. She loved fashion, cooking, culminating flowers, DIY projects, you name it; but most importantly her life, our memories, life lessons she taught me, and sharing HOPE through healing.
